With a diversified background, Yau Boon has a unique blend of more than 10 years as a serial entrepreneur, speaker, consultant, and 20 years as a corporate executive in enterprise software and mobility solutions. He has spoken on many topics to a wide range of professionals across multiple industries. His passion and expertise are in helping corporations build a sustainable business model through disruption management, business transformation, and embracing digitalization. More recently, he focus has been on the future of marketing, eCommerce, augmented reality, and the metaverse.
Yau Boon led marketing and strategy in IBM, SAP, and Motorola and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore Institute of Management. Prior to his socio-entrepreneurial ventures, he was the Vice President, Marketing & Strategy, for SAP Asia Pacific.
Previously, Yau Boon was President, Asia Pacific, Nextech AR Solutions, served as the Co-Chair on the American Chamber of
Commerce Singapore's Marketing and Communication Committee, and he also remains on the advisory board for technology
companies. Recently, Yau Boon co-founded IMMRSIV Inc, a metaverse & XR software group of companies, building secured
enterprise metaverses for major clients in the region.
Yau Boon graduated from the School of Architecture, the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts, and holds an MBA (International Business) from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. He is the first IBM Certified Professional in marketing, by Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, and was trained in Design Thinking at Hasso Plattner Institute School of Design Thinking, University of Potsdam, Germany. Yau Boon is a Certified Practioner in Learning & Performance by the Institute of Adult Learning in Singapore.
