Ikhwan Cho is Head of Metaverse Service and Technology Development, SK Telecom, Korea and is now leading development group for SKT metaverse service platform 'ifland' and tech platform 'T real Platform'. He is an AR/VR specialist based on technology and market insight from a lot of commercial and research projects. Ikhwan has rich experience especially for technologies including real time computer vision processing (detection/recognition/tracking/SLAM) and 3D graphics processing (OpenGL/Unity3D/rendering/modeling/avatar) for immersive AR/VR user experience for more than 10 years.

We explain how multiple telcos (SK Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, and others) have collaborated to launch ifland globally. We examine various design and technical choices made to serve a global audience as well as showcase approaches in deploying AI and other technologies to create an innovative user experience.
